On February 1st, a new version of Un déu salvatge premiered at Teatre Goya. The play, written by Yasmina Reza, is directed by Pere Arquillué, who also stars in it, alongside Laura Conejero, Ivan Benet, and Laura Aubert. It is a production by Focus, Mola Produccions, and Bitò.
Reza’s play can already be considered a contemporary classic. Since its premiere in Paris in January 2008, Un déu salvatge quickly became an international success, also receiving a film adaptation directed by Roman Polanski.
This is the first time that Arquillué both acts and directs simultaneously, and the play, already a critical and public success, will be on stage for only 12 weeks.
