Un matrimoni de Boston, one of the major hits of this season’s Barcelona theater scene, has kicked off its tour, which will take it across the country.
After winning over both critics and audiences during its run at La Villarroel, David Mamet’s play, directed by Josep Maria Mestres and starring Emma Vilarasau, Marta Marco, and Emma Arquillué, has begun a tour through some of Catalonia’s most prominent theaters. The tour began on January 11 at the Atrium in Viladecans and already has scheduled dates in cities like Sabadell, Terrassa, Manacor, Granollers, Figueres, and Manresa, among others.
The play, a “Victorian” comedy of love and power with a sharply contemporary edge, explores social norms through the lens of an unconventional couple with intelligence and biting humor.
