Yesterday, Monday, September 16, Àfora Focus offered, within the framework of the presentation of the 2024-25 season at the Teatre Romea, the stage action Rostres.
The proposal was to show the emotionally transformative effect of music and how this emotional intensity translates into facial expression. For this purpose, the evocative capacity of a first-rate actor like Pere Arquillué was chosen to express, only with the somatizations of his face, the impact of such a suggestive music as the ballet Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev.
The excerpts from the score were performed, with four hands, by pianist Alex Alguacil and pianist Yukiko Akagi.
An intense and overwhelming proposal that left the Romea audience captivated.
