On October 10th, the Barcelona, Far al món ceremony took place on Bogatell beach, prelude to the final of the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup.
Focus, leader of the joint venture made up of the companies Igor Studios, Lavinia and Flock Drone Art, planned an unprecedented show with impressive visual effects that included choreographies with a total of 1,000 drones, integration of audiovisual systems with LED screens of different formats, breaking the square of the circle, virtual creations such as an avatar and multiplying the sea waters with lighting creating seas of light. All of this is based on the soundtrack created by maestro Albert Guinovart, which has the same title as the show, Barcelona, Far al món, performed by the orchestra and choir of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, with the solo voices of Sara Blanch and Arnau Tordera, with the participation of the Montserrat choir school. The visual effects were created by the prestigious Barcelona brand Glasworks, who captured the power of the large “FAR” structure.
All designed and thought out in its staging by director Hansel Cereza, who took the spectator on an emotional journey that captivated audiences around the world.
The ceremony, inspired by the sea, the wind and the sail, symbolized human ingenuity and collective effort, creating a narrative that promises to reconnect the public with the power of nature and the magic of maritime exploration.
