Christmas is here, and so is Regala Teatre. If you want to surprise someone with an original gift, Regala Teatre lets you explore the best theatre offerings in Barcelona: comedies, classic plays, dramas, and much more.
With Regala Teatre, you can gift your loved ones a balance card ranging from €30 to €300 to enjoy any show at the theatres of the Grup Focus (Romea, Goya, Condal, and La Villarroel).
This year, the highlights of the Regala Teatre campaign are the major productions currently on the stages of Focus theatres.
At Teatre Romea, Voltaire/Rousseau. La disputa presents a dialectical duel between two of the great actors of the Catalan theatre scene, Josep Maria Flotats and Pep Planas, who play two of the most important philosophers in history in this play written by French author Jean-François Prévand.
Teatre Goya is filled with laughter with Un sogre de lloguer, the new comedy starring Joan Pera. Written by Susanna Garachana and Jaume Viñas and directed by Daniel Anglès, Un sogre de lloguer is packed with misunderstandings, lies, and half-truths that lead to hilarious situations and entanglements.
At La Villarroel, La presència, the new play by Carmen Marfà and Yago Alonso, arrives with direction by Pau Carrió and a cast featuring Anna Sahun, Pau Roca, Marc Rodríguez, and Nausicaa Bonnín. The play unfolds during a stormy night filled with adrenaline and comedy, where the ghosts of a family come to light.
Teatre Condal continues to offer action and humor with Escape Room 2, the sequel to the hit play by Joel Joan and Hèctor Claramunt. This new story brings back the characters from the original, played by Joel Joan, Agnès Busquets, Paula Vives, and Oriol Casals.
In February, Teatre Goya welcomes Un déu salvatge, a new version of Yasmina Reza’s must-see play, a classic of contemporary theatre. This new production is directed and starred by Pere Arquillué, who shares the stage with Laura Conejero, Ivan Benet, and Laura Aubert.
In March, Teatre Romea will present Mort d’un comediant, written by Guillem Clua and directed by Josep Maria Mestres, the team behind L’oreneta. Starring Jordi Bosch and supported on stage by Mercè Pons and Francesc Marginet Sensada, this play offers a role capable of marking a before-and-after moment in an actor’s career.
