Next Sunday, January 28 at 6 p.m., the Teatre Romea will host Lali Symon’s last performance. The play, written and directed by Sergi Belbel, and starring Emma Vilarasau, Mont Plans and Júlia Bonjoch, is a production of Teatre Romea i Grec 2023 Barcelona Festival.
The text, built on the personal experiences of Vilarasau herself, presents the character of Lali Symon, an incisive, strong and independent comic monologist, but who, in reality, is just the public alter ego of a more normal woman , confronted with the obstacles and vicissitudes of life, having to take care of her sick mother and seeing how, without being able to avoid it, an increasingly obvious distance separates her from her teenage daughter.
In order to be able to say goodbye to a show like Lali Symon as it deserves, ALIURA, the new portal of reference on dependency in Catalonia, together with the Romea Theatre, wants to pay tribute to the caregivers who look after their elderly during a stage of his life. That’s why they invite women and men between 45 and 65 years old to the exclusive function of Lali Symon, next January 28 at 6pm at the Romea Theatre.
Once the function is over, through a colloquium, the audience will have a voice to share their experiences and impressions with the performers and the author and director of the function.
