Un sogre de lloguer has already become one of the major hits of the Catalan theatre season. Since its premiere on November 8 at the Teatre Goya, the play has sold out every single performance, and no tickets remain for the shows scheduled until the end of this run on January 26.
However, fans of Joan Pera and comedy enthusiasts, in general, are in for a treat, as new dates have been announced for the upcoming season.
Starting September 10, the adventures of Catalonia’s most eccentric father-in-law will return to the stage, this time at the Teatre Condal.
In addition to its public success, the play has received unanimous praise from critics, who have highlighted Joan Pera’s performance and his ability to connect with the audience, as well as the ensemble cast’s acting and the dynamic direction that brings a lively rhythm to a script filled with hilarious situations.
