From November 18th to 20th, 2024, the Teatre Romea will host the second edition of the Barcelona International Theater Spectators Congress.
The initiative, unique in the world, took place for the first time at the end of October 2022, bringing together nearly 50 spectators from 25 countries and 5 continents, participants who gathered to exchange opinions and reflections on the relationship between stage and public, forming debate tables and attending conferences and workshops carried out by the leading international experts in the sector. The event concluded with the writing of the first Barcelona Manifesto on theater spectators, a document where the wishes, challenges and wills of the public were brought together, designed to transform the dynamics between what happens on stage and what happens in the audience.
Now, two years later, this second and last edition of the Congress arrives, which promises to bring together even more participants and continue to have the most relevant figures and professionals on the subject, to open horizons about the public as a group and how to continue improving communication with the performing arts sector.
