A new theatre season starts, as always, with energy and enthusiasm. In Madrid, Focus will be present in the coming months with two productions, Cigarreras, a social drama based on the work of Emilia Pardo Bazán, and Un amor particular, a romantic comedy with music and songs.
Cigarreras will open the season at the Teatro Fernán Gómez (from 19 September to 26 October) directed by Juan Carlos Pérez de la Fuente. The show –co-produced by Teatre Romea and Coproducións– is the story of a group of women workers in a turbulent time, the political crisis that led to the proclamation of the First Spanish Republic, .
Un amor particular will take over the stage at La Latina between 22 October and 3 December (every Tuesday) to make its audience laugh this autumn. The leading couple, Valeria and Fonsi, are two apparently very different people, but they are willing to overcome all obstacles to live their love.
