In one of the most successful editions of the Grec Festival in Barcelona, the shows scheduled in Focus theaters have been among the most celebrated.
At Teatre Romea, and until July 4th, you can see a new version of Tirant lo Blanc, which this time, under the direction of Joan Arqué, adapts Màrius Serra’s version. Critics have highlighted both the spectacularity of the proposal, as well as Arqué’s bold direction and the entire cast.
At the Teatre Goya Lolita Flores has succeeded again, this time with Poncia, a text written and directed by Luis Luque based on La casa de Bernarda Alba. The show, which started its run on June 3, has posted the sold-out poster every day. The success of the public has also been accompanied by the approval of the critics, who have highlighted the elegance and originality of the proposal, as well as the portentous performance of Lolita Flores.
The Teatre Condal has hosted two theatrical proposals this year in which music has played a prominent role. On the one hand, Alberto San Juan presented Macho Grita, a monologue in which he reflected, satirically and accompanied by La Banda, on the history of Spain. And on the other, Artemis has been presented, a musical comedy written and starring Mireia Morera, under the direction of Pol Sanuy. The show has received the approval of the critics, who have highlighted both the imaginative songs and the performance of the debutante Mireia Morera.
And finally La Villarroel presented Les mans, a delicate play by Llàtzer Garcia, directed by Sílvia Munt and starring Raquel Ferri and Ernest Villegas. On the bill for only three weeks, the public and critics have surrendered to the charms of the play’s intense text, the careful direction, and the splendid interpretations of the leading couple.
