This year the World Theater Week takes place from March 20 to 27. A whole week full of activities that ends with the celebration of World Theater Day on Wednesday, March 27.
To celebrate this anniversary, Focus has prepared a series of discounts and activities for its public. This year, in addition to big discounts for some of the most successful works on the current bill such as Elling, in La Villarroel, or Escape Room 2, in the Teatre Condal, among others, Focus has started a cycle of activities in its designated theaters mainly to the professionals of the future in the theatrical sector, the students of scenic training centers, who will be able to learn first-hand trades such as scenography, direction or production among others.
So La Villarroel proposes two activities: a talk on the circuit of local theaters between Tania Brenlle, artistic director of La Villarroel, and Felipe Cabezas, artistic director of Sala Fènix, and a conference on stage direction with the director of Elling Pau Carrió .
Teatre Condal presents a conference by Daniel Anglès, outstanding performer and director of musicals and artistic director of Teatre Condal, on the profile of the Catalan musical actor, and a guided tour of the set design of Escape Room 2 by its author, set designer Enric Planas.
Teatre Romea plans a post-performance colloquium of the play Amb la claredat augmenta el fred, by Pep Tosar, moderated by Recomana critic Ramón Olivé, and a conference on dramaturgy by Jean-François Prévand, author of Voltaire/Rousseau. La Disputa.
Teatre Goya presents two talks, one of them on theatrical production and distribution by Carme Tierz, distributor, producer and founder of the RBLS Festival of Young Theatre, and another on the creation of family theater by Gisela Juanet, founder of Viu el Teatre.
With these activities, the theaters of the Focus Group want to contribute the value of the experience of established professionals to those who will make up the performing generations of tomorrow.
